The Ramganga River shimmered under the golden sun, its waters flowing like liquid glass through the dense forests of Corbett. The jungle hummed with life, but at the river’s edge, a true king emerged.

LalKaan, the mighty tusker. His skin, bathed in hues of red from the dust he had thrown on himself, made him look even more majestic. He stood tall, his muscular frame reflecting years of dominance over this land.

Water was his sanctuary, his kingdom. But kingdoms are not won without battles.

A younger bull had dared to challenge him. A mistake. The echoes of their fierce battle had roared through the jungle just days ago. LalKaan had won. His throne—this riverbed—remained his.

Now, he celebrated. With a mighty splash, he stepped into the river, the cool water soothing his battle-worn body. He submerged himself, only his massive head and curved tusks visible above the surface. This was his ritual, his moment of peace in a land he ruled.

For hours, he remained there, as if absorbing the strength of the river itself. Then, with a triumphant trumpet, he rose from the water, his colossal form glistening in the sunlight. A reminder to all—he was still the undisputed king of Corbett.
